The Roanoke Star is the Blue Ridge's must-see landmark. It is the biggest star build by the humankind. It was constructed in 1949 and was meant to serve as a seasonal Christmas decoration for the holiday shopping season.
Through its 65 years, the Roanoke Star has become synonymous with the region and is still one of the most talked about and recognizable icons of Virginia.

Hello everybody! I am a Mexican dog lover. Recently my hubby, four dogs and I took a life-changing trip around the USA. Destiny brought us to Pinedale, Wyoming we fell in love with the place and decided to stay for a while. You can see my favorites landscape photos and portraits of my dogs taken during the journey.
